Representing GEM

One year ago, we walked into Missionfest (an annual conference that informs, inspires and involves believers in fulfilling the great commission) looking for an agency that might help us serve in Italy. We found a few that had potential, but there was something special about one in specific - Greater Europe Mission. We decided since then to pursue and sign on with them. In June 2018 we were appointed with GEM, and have been affiliated with them ever since.
Now imagine our surprise when we received an email from Howard Moore - the very person who we met at last year's conference at the GEM booth, asking us if we'd be interested in representing Greater Europe Mission alongside him this year!
In only a year's time we went from not knowing how we would serve in Italy, to representing the company who'd be sending us.
What an honour!
So how did it go?
It was a special feeling.
Being involved with GEM made us feel like we were living out our purpose - representing where we belonged.
Last year we had no idea what the future held for us, yet this year we were well aware, and are now actively stepping into it.
We had the thought that being a part of Missionfest would bring us connections that might help with our support raising somehow. Although being there allowed us to meet new people and catch up with old friends, the connections made were not what I (Leanne) expected. I went home excited to have connected with other homeschoolers, and new tools to grow in my teaching abilities!
Who woulda thought?
We are happy to have been representatives of GEM while here in Winnipeg, and are excited to represent them while overseas in Italy with the work we'll be doing!
