Happy spring friends! We are hopeful you are all enjoying the warmer weather and most importantly, staying healthy!! Our family has been missing our extracurricular activities these days, but otherwise life continues as (mostly) normal. Franklin is still working full-time at Superstore, and we're continuing our homeschool routine. One area we have decided to take a break from, though, is support raising... or I should say, this is an area we've been confused over and have been praying over how to handle! With everything happening around the coronavirus - people being let go from their jobs, social distancing, and all the unknowns surrounding it, it's been a challenge knowing how to approach raising funds. We know that this pandemic won't last forever though, and are excited to share that we will be having an Italian Fundraising Dinner once everything calms down, so stay tuned for details on that!
For those curious as to how Greater Europe Mission is handling the coronavirus in respect to their missionaries, please read this attached newsletter written by our Canadian Director, Doug Barkman.
GEM has been wonderful in organizing consistent prayer meetings where we've been able to join together and pray for the people of this world during these uncertain times. It's been great to be part of this difference-making organization!
Because of what's happening around the world, we wonder if 2020 will be the year we make our move... it may take even longer than we had hoped. We still believe everything happens in God's perfect timing, but the unknown can be discouraging, especially when our plans seems to take foorreever to fulfill.
We want to thank those who have been encouraging us through faithful support, though, no matter the circumstance... we will get to Italy!!
“ But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:8-9
